Introduction

Soly ("we") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Soly app.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account: Name, email, profile picture (if signing in with Google/Apple)
  • Mood Data: Emotion entries, tags, and notes you create
  • Journal: Writings and thoughts you record
  • Settings: Theme, language, and personal preferences

Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage Data: How you use the app (if you allow Analytics)
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version
  • Logs: Error reports and performance data to improve the app

Information from Third Parties

  • Social Sign-in: If you use Google/Apple Sign-In, we receive basic information from them
  • Payments: RevenueCat processes payments. We do not store your card information

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide app features and functionality
  • Generate AI reports and artwork (if you enable AI features)
  • Improve user experience
  • Send important app notifications
  • Provide support when you need help

Data Security

  • Data is stored securely in the cloud
  • Encrypted during transmission and storage
  • Only you can access your data
  • Device cache is encrypted and automatically deleted after sync

AI Processing

If you enable AI features:

  • Mood data is processed to generate insights and artwork
  • Data is sent to AI providers for processing
  • AI providers do not retain your data
  • You can disable AI at any time in Settings

Data Sharing

We DO NOT:

  • Sell your data to anyone
  • Share your mood/journal with others (unless you choose to share)
  • Use your data for advertising

We MAY share with:

  • Service Providers: Cloud hosting, analytics (if you allow), payment processing
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • View: All data we have about you
  • Export: Download your data
  • Delete: Completely delete your account and data
  • Control: Enable/disable Analytics and AI
  • Modify: Update your personal information

Data Retention

  • Active Accounts: Data is kept while you use the app
  • Deleted Accounts: Data is completely removed within 30 days
  • Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized data may be kept to improve the app

Children

Soly is not intended for children under 13 (US) or 16 (EU). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be notified through the app or email.
